5th Pan-Orthodox Vespers: Saint Mary of Egypt 2024

On Sunday evening, April 21, Saint Seraphim Orthodox Cathedral in Dallas hosted the 5th and final Pan-Orthodox Vespers of the 2024 Lenten season. The service was well attended and all present enjoyed the rich hospitality of the Cathedral. His Grace, Bishop Gerasim of Fort Worth addressed those in attendance and introduced Fr. Chris Rowe of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center who recounted the life of Saint Mary of Egypt and her monastic life in the wilderness beyond the Jordan, which carries rich lessons for each of us in our own ascetic struggle.

During the Fast and throughout the year, the faithful are encouraged to support the vital work of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center, who bring the gospel to people who previously had not heard it and provide support to growing local Churches in areas around the world. You may set up a recurring or one-time donation at the website here.
