3rd Pan-Orthodox Vespers: Veneration of the Cross 2024

On Sunday evening, April 7, the third Pan-Orthodox Vespers marking the mid-point of the Great Fast were celebrated at Saint John Orthodox Church in Euless. Fr. Vasile Tudora and the parish welcomed those present with their customary high standard of hospitality. After Vespers Fr. Nicholas Hadzellis of St. Demetrios of Fort Worth gave the homily and encouraged those present to remain enheartened as we learn kindness through asceticism. The faithful in attendance were especially blessed the venerate the precious relics of the Cross at the hands of His Grace, Bishop Gerasim of Fort Worth.

For the second week in a row, we were fortunate to have our local OCMC ambassadors, David and Alexandra Faulksen, present to answer questions. As the theme of this year's Pan-Orthodox Vespers throughout the Fast, a collection was taken up for the Orthodox Christian Missian Center.
